The barrels enter the infeed roller via the conveyor chain and are sequentially conveyed past the brushes by the barrel-pushing roller on the main drive. Driven by the rotating large and small brushes, the barrels rotate automatically. The brush speed is adjustable and can be set appropriately to ensure thorough cleaning of the outer barrel surface, while the bottom brush cleans the barrel base simultaneously.
For improved performance, this system can be configured with two external washing machines connected in series. The first machine consists of six stations for washing with a high-concentration detergent solution, while the second machine has six stations for rinsing with clean water (the detergent solution can be formulated according to customer requirements) to achieve optimal cleaning results. The detergent solution is recycled for reuse. The final spray rinsing uses reclaimed water from the internal washing machine, which is discharged directly after rinsing.

Description
The fully automatic 5-gallon external barrel washing and brushing machine is independently designed by our company and features an original linear bottle-washing process. It mainly consists of the frame with doors and windows, barrel infeed mechanism, pre-spraying system, brush washing system, bottle discharge mechanism, rinsing system, drive system, circulation water tank, rinsing water pump, and control system. The machine provides comprehensive external cleaning of barrels, making it an ideal choice for bottled water production enterprises.
The washing effect is achieved through contact and relative movement between the 5-gallon barrels and the brushes. It can effectively clean multiple areas, including the bottle neck, bottle body, and bottle bottom, ensuring thorough 360-degree cleaning of the barrel exterior without blind spots. It is suitable for both flat-bottom and concave-bottom barrels.
The machine is equipped with a circulation water tank, circulation water pump, double-layer filters, overload protection, liquid level control, and tempered glass doors and windows. An optional alkaline solution heating washing function is also available. The entire machine is made of high-quality stainless steel, offering excellent corrosion resistance and easy cleaning.
The control system uses well-known domestic and international brands, such as Mitsubishi PLCs from Japan and Siemens AC contactors from Germany. With its attractive appearance, compact structure, high working efficiency, stable and reliable operation, and high level of automation, this machine is an ideal supporting equipment for fully automatic bottled water production lines.
